I was diagnosed with insulin resistance as a teenager. No one ever explained what that meant, just that I needed to eat healthy and exercise. Isn't that the answer to everything? By 19 I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

I've managed to do well with no help from medication. However, recently I began to have ovarian cysts. My doctor told me they were forming because of the insulin not being absorbed properly.

So here I am at 28 finally learning how to eat. That's my story and I would love to meet others who are on this journey to better themselves.
