    for sure. but back then, i had braces and no bewbz and looked like the middle child from "the middle."

    I was the same, and they were interested until they heard about my newest D&D character or how bad *kitten* I was at Suikoden (most had no clue) my love of chess, and art (especially many a) also never won me any brownie points. They attributed geeks to Steve Urcle (so?)


    Glad some others remember when it wasn't "all the rage". Not that there is anything wrong with the love of geeks and nerds, but I feel I was born a decade early. Haha.

    I've scored straight 100+'s in two college-level statistics courses.....math problems make me giddy!

    ETA: pretty sure I'm going to get an MBA in stats....

    It's apparently the cool thing to be. Note people wearing fake "nerd glasses" all the time, and saying they're a nerd because they like Big Bang Theory even though they don't understand half the jokes.

    Edit: not talking about people on this thread, I'm talking general population
