How long should one stretch for daily?

I tend to sit a lot throughout the day despite being active. I make sure to get up every 30 minutes or so and do a quick 3 minute stretch. Another 30 minutes go by, I feel certain areas are tightening so I stretch again. I also stretch dynamically before workout and static after. All in all, I'd say its about 45 min- 1 hour of stretching a day. Is this too much?

    If you enjoy it go for it. As far as needed, I don't waste my time. I get plenty of stretching just going about my day. I rather do other things I enjoy more.

    I mean, if you enjoy it then who cares, I doubt it's causing any harm. As far as it being necessary - not even close.

    Do as much stretching as possible throughout the day, when possible try and make some of them into Pilates or yoga moves, you'll become more flexible than the people around you, how impressive would it be to do the splits at 60 or tuck your feet behind your head ? We could all do this at 10 but less than 1% will be able too at 60
