Hi! :)

I'm new to myfitnesspal. I have been on the keto diet for 3 weeks now. I started at 223.0lbs and now currently sitting at 204.2lbs which is a 17.2lb loss so far (gotta the love the first 2 weeks where it all melts off!) Now it's the grind em 2lbs a week! But I am LOVING this diet. It is so easy, I'm never hungry or craving. Bacon, eggs, cream cheese, and all that other yummyness! Always looking for keto friends, hints, tips and recipes! :)

Height 5'3
Start Weight 223.0lbs
Current Weight 204.2lbs
Goal Weight 120-130lbs
BMI 36.1 :(

I'm on day 2 officially and I love it so far! I'm around the same weight Wise, considering I'm only at 5' 0" and 160. My goal is 110-130 so we have similar goals!

Hello and welcome! I suggest you check out the following main low carber daily forum group here in MFP. It's where most of us Ketophiles tend to hang out:

Just getting started....again. Rearranging the kitchen for low carbs and more protein. How long does it take to wrap your head into this way of thinking?

Perhaps more important to wrap your head around this:

Notice a trend here? Keto offers no metabolic advantage to weight loss. Zero. Nor do any of the others, despite claims to the contrary by their evangelists and cheering sections. They all operate on the same principle at the end of the day. Though there are subjective claims of being more full, etc.

In order to be successful people need to think outside the fad diet box and instead think about a lifestyle change that can potentially be a permanent solution as this is what will have lasting impact. Chances are extremely low people will stay on Keto for life, just like any highly restrictive regimen.

I actually love this particular chart because it's true. I follow LCHF/Keto for medical and health reasons but it is what works best for me. To each their own.
