Have been doing some research on the odds of keeping the weight off after you lose it. This article is a very interesting read.

    Thank you! I think there's so much literature out there on what DOESN'T work: dieting doesn't work, exercising doesn't work, lifestyle interventions don't work, and everyone regains it anyways so what's the point. It's incredibly damaging to someone's willpower if they think they have to do ALL the things at once in order to lose weight, and if they can't stick to it, then there's a 95% chance that they'll regain it. Hell, I regained and lost about 3 times before it finally feels different this time, like I'll actually be able to keep it going.

    I really hope journalism starts catching up on what does work. I think they're trying to be body positive but there's a way to encourage treating everyone with dignity while also encouraging people to strive for optimal health.

    Although I'm sure it is an interesting read, that article is also almost old enough to vote. There's got to be more recent journalism out there.
