Starting this discussion for "Faithful Ketogenic Diet Individuals" who are truly following a Keto diet...not a low-carb-ish diet...there is a difference...It is true that Ketogenics has a low-carb component, but it is not a true Ketogenic diet unless it has the "high fat" component as well few other little details that someone on a low carb diet might not consider. I am learning a lot about Ketogenics and by any means, I do not know everything there is about the subject; but I am a hunter and gatherer of research from the professionals that do! I am very intrigued by Ketogenics and how it work toward our health and always wanting to learn more. If you want to hang out here, welcome!

Good Morning Good Morning, Happy Hump Day! January 3, 2018 and I hope you all are getting your Keto on! It is hard to get back on track after the holiday season...but just do it!
I was reading through my first post and for the most part, I echo my initial thoughts. I want to touch on the bit about "Faithful Ketogenic Diet Individuals"...this is hard, but it is not impossible. We are not always going to be able to to get it right, but I believe we can strive to get it right for our health. This is our 50-ish life, it is high-time we stand up for our health! Press onward and Upward friends. You’ve got this!
Let’s make planning ahead a priority, so we don't make silly decisions in the heat of the moment...If that Blue Bell ice-cream is in the freezer, hide it in the back if you cant seem to throw it away! Planning ahead could be the difference in reaching weight-loss goals and back-sliding into old habits! Some times seeing...and doing…is believing! I ham starting a meal prep group in my local area and I will share my meal prep weekly!
If you are like me and jumping back into Keto after the holiday season, be brave and have courage this go around! I have a challenge for us, lest try to plan ahead for 4 straight weeks. Again, we are not aiming for perfection, we are aiming for preparedness. Just 30 days on the road of aiming for Keto-Greatness...It will bring us to a place of healthy goodness. Love, big hugs, and encouragement to you all…hope you all crush it this month! Janet0 -
Janet, I'm in! I've been in ketosis for almost a month and I have to be honest, I'm somewhat discouraged. I see everyone else's testimonial about being on keto for two weeks and losing 10 pounds, etc. But I have yet to lose even any ounce! I'm doing intermittent fasting as well as keeping track of my macros and calories. I can't imagine what I'm doing wrong based on all the research I have done about this. I need to lose at least 20#. More would be nice but i think that's reasonable for now. I'm 56 so I'm sure hormones are an issue but good grief! Anyone else having this problem?0
