A chiropractor injured my back 15 years ago and left me disabled. I can do some exercise, but not much which means I have to really watch my diet. I have had weight issues since I was 16. I lose weight and I put it back on again. No more. My goal is to lose 30 pounds and to keep it off permanently. I'm very excited and I'm looking forward to a healthier and happier me.

I am sad to hear you were injured while trying to get help. I hope you have much better care now.

MFP has worked for me and it could work for you too. The key is accurate logging.

WRT exercise: Have you tried in-water exercises of any kind?

    Best of luck!

I have tried gentle yoga and senior water aerobics classes but they have not worked for me. I used to own a house with a pool and I would just float around and gently move my limbs, but we have moved and I don't have a pool now. I'm going to see what my new community center has to offer. I don't want to do too much and then have to increase my medication.

Cutting down my caloric intake and following an anti-inflammatory diet will be key for me. Sounds easy, but yet so hard to do. I moved to a new state so I have a fresh start and I'm determined to do this.
