An older photo from the fall of 2015, but it’s a great shot of my work.

    And then this little diddy:

And this guy on my shoulder:

Plus one more on my foot. I like art.

    These are cool

Thanks! I forgot another one I have on the lower left side of my body. A stack of books, because I’ve always been a book nerd. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

To piggy back on the sleeve/half sleeve discussion: I’ve always wanted one too. Tattoos are becoming more normalized in the workplace too, so maybe soon your companies won’t be quite so strict about it.

    ^ that rose is beautiful.

Yeah, I have to wear long sleeves at work. Thankfully it’s usually air conditioned!

This one is a caffeine molecule, it's on my right wrist. It will probably be covered by a Targaryen house sigil to match my Stark house sigil.

Matching "sisters" tattoos that me and my sister got on our feet. Foot tats hurt!

My favorite tattoo ever, my Stark house sigil. Banner says "Valar Morghulis" and the matching Targaryen one will say "Valar Dohaeris". Also pictured, a small EKG readout tattoo that I got for $13.

    yq2dorh8jwwg.png

Fawkes the phoenix from Harry Potter on my right calf. The plan is do a sleeve on that calf of mythological creatures from Harry Potter.

    bw30s1bavrgj.png

Three green and black stars on my left foot. I like this one but it needs a touch up.

I have one more that I can't find a good picture of right now on my collarbone. Most of my tattoos are nerdy/geeky. The one on my collarbone is a small Deathly Hallows symbol from Harry Potter.

I was wanting one that combined my military service, my love of the bald eagle, and the traditional "Sailor Jerry" look. I had a friend do the custom artwork to have the eagle perched on the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist ensignia, and let the tattoo artist do the years and USN. The only thing that could have gone better was putting more of a U shape in the U (go figure). But otherwise, love this one.

I’d love to do a half sleeve but then I’d have to wear a long sleeve shirt at work.

    Wowza :o . That's why I don't have a sleeve either

I’m still contemplating doing it. Silly that they have to be covered. I could see if it was something derogatory.

I deal with customers face to face and I like to be able to wear a short sleeve polo if need be. I've been really wanting to build down off my shoulder

I love that! I want to build down off my shoulder too. I’m a nurse and can’t have any visible tattoos.

I’m a registered nurse who works in an acute cardiac procedural area directly working with patients and senior medical officers. I have both full sleeves. @mij140

I love your sleeves! Do you have to cover them? Sadly, we cannot have visible tattoos at the hospital where I work.

Nope. When I’m not in a surgical gown (which does of course cover everything), I’m in scrubs with short sleeves. My previous nursing position I wore a nurse uniform/dress/blouse and wasn’t expected to cover them there either.

I’m in Australia so maybe that reflects a different culture here. Essentially though, I’m employed for my skill set and ability to do my job, not my skin,
