New to the app/site!

Just thought I'd introduce myself. Have struggled with obesity my entire adult life, I'm 42 now and after marrying my wife (gaining a stepson in the process) and now having a baby girl, I feel a responsibility not just to provide a better role model for them fitness-wise, but also to get healthy so I can be active with them (and alive for a significant portion of their lifespans).

I have a blog at doublepark.wordpress.com that I'm using to journal my progress. I use a BodyMedia Bodybugg to track my daily calorie expenditure and I am on a weight loss program at Jenny Craig, along with my wife. I've lost about 20 pounds over the last five weeks and I need to lose about 130-140 more...so I've got a steep mountain to climb, but I am motivated!
