Hiya... need some advice on motivation and staying committed

I have my cousins wedding in October and I've bought my dress but I don't feel comfortable in it. I have persistent back problems and so my gp has suggested being more active and I always want to I want to be fitter and leaner and more toned but I just can't seem to find the discipline to stay motivated and committed and I just don't know where to start. I try to eat health and I love cooking so I know what goes into my food and I try to stick to below 1500 kcals per day and I try to drink more water but that's the thing..... it's all trying and I need help!!
