How often do you weigh in?

I hate to say it, but I think I'm addicted to weighing myself, and that's not always a good look. I tend to weigh in each morning. Sometimes it's awesome, other times not so much! I'm trying to decide if I want to log my weight each day on here or just once a week. I doubt I'll be able to get out of the habit of my daily weigh in, but do I want to make it official? How often do you weigh in? What works best for you?

I weigh daily & track it on a personal spreadsheet. I weigh in here each Monday. Daily helps to see the overall downward trend, and I can see the weekly/monthly averages as well. I also graph the daily weights as well. It's a big spiky graph, but the trendline is a smooth downward slope.4

I weigh daily, but I use Libra weight trend app. Trending helps to mitigate the aggravation of the ups and downs of daily weighing.1

I weigh daily first thing in the am. I actually like doing it. It helps to keep me motivated and to evaluate the day before (what I ate, activity, emotions, ect.) I've learned a lot about my body by doing this.3

Agree with @Shull_Rachael. Every morning, for better or worse, to gauge what's working and where I've stumbled. Surprisingly, tequila may make me stumble home, but seems to have little effect on the scale.5

I only log it every Wednesday. I do step on the scale in between, but don't record it. It helps to keep me on track.7

Wednesdays! Weigh-in Wednesdays are what I call it
I only let myself do it once a week so I don't let the number control my emotions, ie being down about gaining some.2 -
Weight fluctuates, so weighing yourself daily doesn't provide a clear picture of weight loss. Weighing yourself once or twice a week in the morning is best.8

I used to be really bad about stepping on the scale constantly, but I'm trying to control my bad habit to every Monday.3

Once a week as I am not in the right mental place to handle the daily fluctuations right now and fluctuations, even knowing logically that they are normal, would impact my mood for the day.6

Every two weeks. I used to be OBSESSED with the scale so I am trying to change my ways. I don't own one so I get weighed elsewhere - it helps - and I don't do it every week so I see bigger results. I just love how my clothes fit better, how much my mobility has changed and how much confidence I have gained, those things are more important to me than how much I weigh. Your weight is just a number - focus on you, and being a better you everyday.8

It does if you use a trend weight app. "Best" is relative. That would not be best for me at all.2 -
The first thing every morning.2

I record every day when I can.1

Every day and track in both Happy Scale &Libra.
Daily provides me "clearest" picture because I know what's happening with the fluctuations. Otherwise, if the number is not what I prefer, I don't know if it's true weight or just water retention.1 -
I used to weigh myself every day, but I noticed a pattern where I would get defeated and upset if I gained or lost a lbs., half a lbs. Etc. I since donated my scale and have not weighed myself in almost 3 months. I lost two dress sizes and have been basing my results of clothing sizes from NY and Co. Which has the closest to neutral sizing for my body type. I also take measurements once a month. That's it. Weighing yourself can become addicting like anything else. So, since the scale has been gone, it's kinda like out of sight, out of mind.4

I do most everyday...but fluctuations kind of make me anxious. However, I do find that I will be more diligent through out the day if I see a number that I was hoping was lower.2

I try to do it every week but I forget often.1

I weigh every morning before I've eaten or drunk anything.4

I seem to weigh in weekly but no set days. I like to see a pound gone and will wait to weigh myself until I think I lost one. Sometimes I'll wait a day or two extra even. I like the anticipation. I then log each time I lose.3

Dang I meant to weigh myself this morning and forgot again! I seem to have the opposite problem as everyone else lol1
-
I weigh myself daily- if I do it only once a week and don't lose I get too bummed out- rather see the fluctuations each day2

Almost never. I started MFP about 6 months ago and I've weighed myself maybe twice. I need to weigh myself more regularly though, maybe once a month or once every 2 weeks. I certainly wouldn't do it every day. When I get to my goal weight I will weigh myself every morning so I can adjust my food.1

Every 2 to 3 days. I was weighing daily but was upset when there wasn't any loss, which is just stupid! If I lost every day I'd be making myself ill.1

I weight myself every single morning. I can't help it. Also, I can better monitor when I'm going a little overboard with treats because instead of fluctuating between the same 2lb range it always does, it creeps up to 4 and 5lbs over and that's when I know to chill out.3

I try to limit myself to once a week! But sometimes curiosity gets the better of me.2

Dropping 6 pounds a week weigh myself every other day or so. Love it. Have dropped 43 pounds in seven weeks. Thank God for bariatric scales without mine I was on a death sentence. Was 591.4 on July 27 today I'm 548. Not only do I weigh myself every other day but I take a pic of my scale reading at least every 7 to 10 days.3

I moved my scale to the bathroom to remind myself to weigh. (I have a small bathroom with no good spot for it) but I've been weighing myself every morning since last Thursday using the happy scale app that I've heard so much about. From Thursday-yesterday my weight has just gone UP every day! Hahaha oh god what a horrible decision to weigh every day. But I just started my period so that explains that.4

Every morning weigh and record. Keeps me motivated and is good feedback about my exercise and eating. When I quit weighing myself, the pounds creep up.1
-
I only do it once a week. I can't jump on the scale every morning if I weigh less one day and more the next it would be upsetting. So I just do it once a week and it works for me1

I weigh in every morning. That way, when I notice I've put on a pound or two I can tighten things up and get back on track sooner. Otherwise, I have a tendency to be an "out of sight, out of mind" person and can easily get off track.3
