I have fat arms and a lot of back fat, I'm going to start doing 20-30 min of cardio. But I love lifting weights, should I lift light from my upper body? I want to look petite not bigger, but I have a lot of arm fat and back fat. Thanks

It takes a calorie surplus and a lot of work to get big and bulky. You'll lose the arm and back fat as you lose weight. Lifting weights will preserve the muscle you have so you're not saggy and jiggly as you lose weight. Keep lifting the weights even on the upper body.3

calorie deficit to lose fat, exercise for health.1

You look big because of fat not muscle. Bodybuilders look chunky when they aren't lean because of the fat over their muscles.
Keep lifting heavy, and stay in a deficit.... You'll lose fat and look smaller and more defined.1 -
Do what yah love, you will gain strength...not muscle in a deficit.0

Sure lift weights if you want. If you're losing weight you will get smaller not bigger.1

It doesn't matter, lift however you want. Your diet will determine if/how fast you lose weight and slim down.0
