Posting here is a step acknowledging you what to recommit to weight loss, you need to find the best way to do so, to fit your lifestyle. The simpler, the better. A few suggestions, hope one might help.
We're you using MFP, when you managed to lose the weight, if so look back at your diary and see what worked for you the last time, you successfully lost weight. Copy some of the more successful days. Equally looking back at past data can help you identify why it stopped working or you may find certain triggers, that caused you to stop following your previous plan. For example, being too restrictive, can then backfire. We are all different, try to analyse why it stopped working.
If not, set up your details in MFP, enter your stats and required weight loss. It will then give you a recommended calorie target. It is then important to hit that calorie target. Remember to log exercise and then eat back at least some of your exercise calories. Not eating enough, is just as unhealthy.
Or start by logging everything that you usually eat for a couple of weeks or a month. It may delay weight loss, for a couple of weeks but will give you a solid starting point to work from. This will then show you how many calories you generally consume, and give you some idea of how many calories you need to cut from your "normal" diet, to lose weight. It can also highlight bad habits (if you have any). Then look back over your food journal, try to find ways to improve your choices, by substituting in better choices. Maybe just one or two at a time. By making this small changes to your usual routine, you can develop new healthier habits, replacing existing ones.2 -
I started with a thought.... a friend lost 25 pounds in a year. That means, it didn't happen overnight, like I want! Then I started weighing myself to be accountable. That made me stop gaining weight. That was my goal. Once I found a solid weight, without gaining every other day, I started filling up the water bottles. Then I started logging into MFP again and looking for people that motivate each other. That really helped. Now I am cutting way back on snacks. I am losing, not gaining.2

If you want it badly enough you will get back on track. Don't put it off. Start today, log every single thing you eat, take it one day at a time and just think in 4 weeks time what you could have achieved just by starting over. Then just keep going
All the best!0 -
I recently hit my goal of losing 30lbs in 3 months, and then celebrated my loss...over a week. I'm not happy about it at all, but I got myself back on track and knew that I could do it again. You are your worst enemy, take control!0
