Broken Toe- What now?

Anyone have any experience with having a broken toe? Heal time, activities while it heals, etc. I broke my middle toe Friday and it seems to be healing sort of fast- and I'm contemplating focusing my attention on: biking, chest, abs and arms for the next four or so weeks while it heals. I'm not so sure about the elliptical- at least for now.
Keep in mind I do have a 850 mile running/walking/elliptical goal this year, which biking does not count towards. Most importantly to me is that it heals correctly.
Thoughts?

I still have problems with my broken toe 2 years after doing it so fingers crossed yours isn't so bad! I couldn't even put shoes on for a week and the toe now no longer bends when I curl the rest of them so it's perpetually uncomfortable. just take it slow and listen to what your toe is telling you0

I broke mine about a month ago. It was much better within a week, but now it is giving me some problems with achy-ness! Take it easy and break back into activities slow0
