Yes, I believe it does. I have a Surge and don't have any problems with syncing on both my android and MFP. There are some specific instructions for syncing with Fitbit on the MFP site. Do a search and you should find it. Good luck :).

Although MFP and Fitbit sync, you will not get individually named exercises transferred from Fitbit to MFP. There will be a single Fitbit Calorie adjustment synced as the generic MFP Exercise, which gets updated throughout the day each time the two programs sync. In this case, there will be no individually named exercises posted to your News Feed. You can create your own status stating what exercise(s) you did on the MFP News Feed if desired.

Alternately, you can log individual exercises in MFP along with the start time and number of minutes, which will then post to your News Feed. The exercise and Calorie estimate by MFP will transfer to Fitbit, and as long as the start time is correct, there will be no double counting of Calories, as the Fitbit Calorie adjustment will be reduced by the same amount as the Calories that were logged for that exercise in MFP.

I would recommend reading through the first three posts in this thread on the MFP Fitbit Users group...
