    Hi.
    You can do it. Eat less than you burn. Set your goal.
    I suggest expanding your goal to include keeping the weight off - there is no point putting it back on later. Acknowledge that making this weight loss effort will take some of your time and energy and set aside that time and energy.
    Get a food scale and weigh and log all your food every day. Weigh yourself regularly, no more than once a day at the same time but at least once a week. Log your exercise too. If you have a bad day, or days, don't be discouraged or beat yourself up about it, just start again from the very next meal. Don't overdo exercise and cause an injury. If you can't exercise you can still lose weight though. Don't make excuses to yourself. Keep logging. Slow and steady is the way to go. Every day is a step closer to your goal.
    You may need to educate yourself re nutrition but do so from reliable sources e.g. if you are in the USA, try having a look at the website health.gov - read the dietary guidelines (or equivalent in your country).
    You may have to work out some strategies to help you choose well at the food store, home, work, when going out, at restaurants, at special occasions, and when tired and/or hungry and after a bad day. Think about family/friends/colleagues and if any issues might arise.
