Cutting weight

Anyone have experience cutting weight specifically to make weight fit a certain division in competition. I have about 6 pounds to lose in a week and a half. I could fight at the higher weight class but the upper end of the higher class would out weigh me by a lot.
If anyone has experience in it please let me know

No experience, but cut carbs drastically to help lose water weight. Focus on protein and fats. Just don't hurt yourself in the process.0

When's the weigh in?
Day before, morning of the fight,
Or a few hours prior?
What's your current weight?
6lb isn't that much weight to
Temporary drop if your a decent

I don't have experience with that specifically, but water and fiber are going to be your best friends.1
