ARIA SCALE GOING CRAZY

Who has an aria scale?

I bought it for $130 and was intrigued how awesome it was (I fully admit was a dumb purchase after thinking back at how much money a damn scale was...) anyways, I just realized that the same number has been on the scale every time I weigh myself (thinking I haven't been losing..) like the number was stuck on there and it hasn't reset to default. So I stepped on it again today and it happened again! So I stepped on it another 4 times and it kept giving me different numbers and body fat percentages. Wtf!! I'm so frustrated. I don't know how much I actually weigh or how much I've actually lost.

Anyone else have these issues with aria scale? Or advice what to do with it?

Check your batteries and try taking them out and put them back (wait 1 min in between to reset the memory). I also believe digital scales don't like it if you keep stepping on and off several times in a row.
I've definitely had 4 or 5 days in a row with the exact weight since weight loss isn't linear that can happen.
Try to keep to only the first weigh-in each day without fiddling with it for a week and it should normalize.

Also read the instructions. My Garmin Index scale suggest you keep the scale on the floor. If not, it provides stoppers to keep the scale elevated off the rug. It does make a difference, in my case anywhere between 1-2 lbs.

I had a similar issue with mine. After some Googling, I found out it's because I store it on a shelf. If you move the scale at ALL between weigh-ins, you'll need to step on it 4-5 times before you get an accurate measurement (the first number to come up is usually the from last scale reading...). If you don't move it, you should only have to step on it once.

It gets posted here a lot, but using a tape measure is a sanity-saver. The scale can be so frustrating when it's not moving a lot... until you realize it must be muscle gain because you've lost an inch somewhere :)

Most digital scales have an error. You'll also notice that by moving it around to different spots around the floor you'll get different readings too. I'd suggest trying to keep the most consistency possible in terms of when you weigh, where the scale is, etc. Then maybe weigh yourself 3 times and record the average. It's just one more reason not to fret about losing/gaining 1 lb. There's so much "noise". If you're worried that there is something literally stuck onyour scale, just try standing on the scale with and without water bottles or something and you should see it move up and down accordingly.

As for the weight being the same for 3-4 days, I don't think that's reason for alarm. That happens to me a lot. When hurricane harvey hit, I was the same weight for like 10-11 days, but then my weight fell off like a whoosh later. Below is a graph of my daily weigh ins. You'll see my weight bounces around and goes through stretches where it's flat. But ultimately, what matters is that the trend line is down, and coincidentally the trend line is down with the exact slope of my predicted weight loss from my CICO calculations.

Remove the batteries for 1 minute (make sure they aren't close to dead first) and then put back in. You might have to go through the set up again if you are using the wifi.
