TEA: Creaky joints getting out of bed first thing in the AM

Okay, I have RA. Less Sugar and More Omega Fats have been extremely useful in controlling flareups. Still, I find it curious how some mornings I can barely get on two legs from bed to bathroom in the morning. Yet, on other mornings I am brushing my teeth before I realize I went from bed to bath with graceful ease.

Funny, after almost a year of noticing this I began to suspect that drinking tea in the evening seems to make a difference Although it has to be at least two cups anytime after 7pm without sweetener without milk, it does not matter whether the tea is hot or cold. Moreover, it does not matter what kind of tea: black, white, green, herb!??

Does anyone else, with morning creaky joints, want to do this experient for the month of August and report back in September?

So the experiment consists of just drinking a cup of tea at night? I'm game : ) I recently found Yogi Joint Comfort so I think I will be using that : )

Update: I rarely have those creaky morning joints. Although I am not always drinking tea in the evening, I have committed myself to drinking a minimum of 8 glasses of water daily +/- 2 glasses. HYDRATION! I am 4 yrs older and feeling more nimble. Haven't had a RA flareup in ~ 3y, although chronic water retention is an issue....so I just added a new routine: 1/4-1/2 tsp of a mineral salt (Celtic Sea, Himalayan, etc) to my daily diet. This appears to be working, but it's only been a week.

interesting. i've been having similiar empirical experiences with creatine, provided i drink a whole ton of water all day. it makes a perceptible difference to the texture of my muscles. more springy-resilient when i poke them, less of that gritty corduroy feeling, less popping and sticking and catching as fibres run past or over a segment of bone. i feel like my joints are floating properly, which is a statement maybe only an r.a. person would understand.

i'll do just about anything if it makes me more comfortable.
