Today marks the 70th anniversary of the greatest Air Force in the world. Happy anniversary to the USAF! God bless all of our Armed Forces, and God bless the United States of America. The GREATEST country on God's green Earth!

In another important note, Sunday, 17 September 2017, will mark the eighth anniversary of MikesPXJourney and the beginning of my transformation from morbid obesity to fitness. It was eight years ago, this Sunday, that I began my journey. Tipping the scales at, according to my Physician's records, at 408 pounds with my body showing the destruction from the burden; today, although fighting advanced RA and Stage "C" Heart Failure, I am holding at a much more fit and muscular ~180 pounds and enjoying a life of training, surfing, rock climbing and hiking all over the world( just returning from a three week adventure backpacking and rock climbing the GORGEOUS Canadian Rockies in BC, as well as, the Great American Pacific Northwest. I'm SO incredibly blessed to be given such a beautiful life. I'm constantly amazed, after did heart attacks (the first, a Widowmaker), numerous trips to the ER while in acute failure; and most recently, Mitral Valve Surgery, at how many chances my Lord and SAVIOR, has given me! I also have too many folks to thank, to list here, but I send I BIG "Thank You" to each and every one. There have been a number of hurtles, but I'm so blessed to be given a new day, each and every morning, and pledge to continue my journey each and every day The Good Lord blesses me with.

Thank YOU, all of My Fitness Pals, for riding along, let's keep this fitness odyssey going! Here's to another many years of health and fitness.

Stay 'Healthy' My Friends!

As a fellow USAF member and a physician all I can say is Wow--you have beaten the odds. I suspect due in large part to your attitude of gratitude. Thanks for sharing your story and God Bless!!
