Dial vs Digital scale

I've never owned a scale. I've only stripped on one in na Dr's or school nurse's office. But the doctor wants me between 135 - 145 in six months. So I'm trying to gain weight. I want a basic scale something that I can track my weight once a week. I don't need it to talk to my phone or calculate how much I've gained from the last. I just want to step on get a reading do a fist pump and get on with the rest of my day.
I want to get one that is accurate also as inexpensive as possible.
The dial sales are generally ten dollars cheaper but they get worse reviews. I absolutely don't want to go to the doctor in March and thinking I'm 137 and bring really 126.
Also if anyone has a specific recommendation that would be über cool.

I would definitely get a digital one. I've had a bunch of diff brands over the years and they've all seemed fine to me. Just make sure you have a nice level flat surface to put it on (so not on a carpet).1

Digital!
I've used this one for years. Don't know if I'd recommend it, since the reviews are mediocre, but it's been great for me. I don't use the weight tracking component, just use it as a simple scale. It's been accurate, matching what the doc gets when they weigh me. Once in a while I'll get a reading that seems a pound or two off, but if I step off and on the correct weight shows up.

Pay attention to any scales' setup suggestions - usually flat, level hard smooth surface. Try to leave it in the same place if it's not in your way.
