Why Make Threads To Whine About People?

Sorry, drawing a blank.
I'm kind of disappointed now. I live for snarky comments, as well as cannibalistic serial killers.
I've learnt a lot about myself today.
I have just learned that popping the collar on your pink shirt gives you swag.0 -

It's the internet, people whine about everything.0

The difference between loose and lose isn't monitored by MENSA, it's monitored by your 2nd grade teacher.0

Can we have less Mensa bashing here please? I'm in Mensa and so is my daughter. Having a high IQ is grossly over-rated anyway. Intelligence is useless unless it is used to acquire and utilise knowledge.
My view is that writing is a form of communication. Therefore, so long as the reader understands what is being communicated then it is performing it's function. Plus, spelling, grammar, punctuation, meanings of words, etc. all change over time so the 'correctness' of writing is continually changing.
Now ... can we get back to the fun stuff about Hannibal and pink shirts please?0 -

Lol, I kind of aimed this thread at someone else on a different post earlier. I'd seen them basically mocking and ridiculing somebody who was asking a genuine question. The poor guy was set upon because he mixed up the words "loose" and "lose" I just thought it was a bit harsh given that he was only asking a question!
LaserMum, you're in MENSA? Wow, not sure I've communicated with anyone on a 1 to 1 basis before that's actually a member of MENSA, I now feel intellectually inadequate in your cyber presence! :P0 -
As I said, IQ is highly over-rated. My daughter has been a member of Mensa since she was 7 years old. She also sails for GBR in international events and is autistic. Everyone's different.
I joined Mensa many years ago but living the good life (especially the prevalence of alcohol) has somewhat addled my brain and I'm pretty sure that the majority of the old grey matter has had it's effectiveness greatly reduced.
No need to put me on a pedestal. I'd only get dizzy and fall off!!!
Edited to add: People who criticise others are just putting others down in order to make themselves look good. In other words, they are no use to society whatsoever since they are incapable of considering the effects of their actions on those they are purporting to "helpfully correct".0
