Weight loss is caused by a calorie deficit. When you set up with MFP this should have been created for you, but make sure your goal is reasonable (0.5-1 pound a week for most people). Weigh your food and log with grams or oz. Log everything you consume. Use correct entries (no homemade or generic). Exercise is great for cardiovascular healthy and improving your NEAT, but you can't out exercise a poor diet. Have patience.2

Eating less will make you lose weight. Have you tried logging your food in here?0

Go buy a food scale at walmart near the measuring cups.0

Im only 24 and i had a heart attack and a stroke by the time i was 21. Granted it wasn caused by my weight so much as my stupidity, But weight loss definatly helped strengthen my heart back up. And at one point i was told i would die without a heart transplant, And i wasnt a candidate. All i do is eat less and walk more (wasnt easy to start i literally couldnt stand for 2 years thats when i put my weight on). Truely. I aim to eat more healthy foods i like, But nothing i dont find worth the calories. I dont force myself to eat/not eat anything. Just get a food scale, Weigh and track your food and youll lose weight. Normally i say dont bother with exercise for weight loss but for a fellow with a bad heart i cant stress enough just how much basic walks helped me. My resting heart rate is now in athlete territory. Still to scared to do running or anything that works my heart to much, But hell walking works. Nothing to complicated needed.8
