IIFYM advice?

I've found all of my daily macro goals but I need some help. How do you figure out what to eat to try and reach your goals? How do you not fall into eating the same things every day since the goal is being flexible?

I don't strictly try to hit certain macros, but I know there is a range that I feel best at and I try to stay in there.

Pre-logging really helps. Each afternoon, I log what I plan to eat the next day. This immediately lets me know if I don't have enough protein planned or if there is another issue. I can simply adjust my plans until I find something in the range that I like.

For variety, I like to buy different cookbooks and I get a lot of recipes from Pinterest.

My breakfasts and lunches don't change up much. I usually keep the protein high in those so I have more flexibility with dinner with the family.

I found it too hard to follow macros. Now I just watch my calories and try to get a minimum of 70grams/protein/day. If I make this too complicated, I know I will quit.

I tend to eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch and then change up dinner; the freedom with IIFYM is, if I want a donut or a bowl of ice cream - I can have it if it fits my macros
