Its a good time to practice your portion controll. I wouldn't go hog wild, but I wouldn't be stuffy either. If Company wants to have ice cream have a small amount. Be mindful of what your eating. Dont be a wet blanket and obnoxious about your diet either. Try to get a mild workout before folks are out of the bed or when thier otherwise occupied.I would try not to gain any weight while theyre visiting. Good luck, and enjoy your company0

I had company visit for a week and this is from an email that I sent them a while ago:
You're more than welcome to stay with me but I'm not going to halt my lifestyle because you're in town. I have exercise class and meet friends at the gym at specific times but I have no problem meeting up with you for dinner or whatever you want to do in Vegas when I'm done with my workout.
However, I will not sacrifice my diet and lifestyle while you're here. There are some places I refuse to go so if you want to go there, I won't follow but I will be happy to meet you at a casino or at the strip when you're finished.
With that being said, they came to stay with me but didn't push me to go to buffets, ice cream, or eat at places were I can't count my calories and fat intake. They came to town knowing I'm on a diet and that I won't sacrifice my diet for their happiness.0 -

This is hilarious! So pushy, but with family/friends sometimes you need to be very CLEAR. I would go for the smaller portions and try to take a walk with them or without them.0 -
lol good for you Helawat! lol....I tell my close family similiar stuff but the rest I just "practice" self control....and its not as hard as you think!!!
make stuff if you're cooking that you love and is good for you...like if normally you make pickies like cheese and crackers, chips etc...do a nice veggie and local dip or salsa....something that will help you munch and not feel deprived.
If you go out....try to do the best you can....I would rather enjoy a nice drink or a dessert at dinner out so I say no to the bread....or you could do the reverse....just do you best! Suggest you all go out for walks around the neighborhood after dinner....involve them....they may love it!
hugs and good luck!
