Hi all. Trying my best, but insomnia and eating out kills me. I am also disabled so the only exercise I am able to do is the assistance I get in physical therapy, and rhat is about to end due to I'm not improving. I cut out soda again but foodwise, I'm starving.

You are not supposed to starve to lose weight, and you don't have to exercise to lose weight. Set up MFP to lose 0.75 pounds per week, and set your activity level to sedentary. The calorie target MFP gives you - hit that, every day. Log your food intake, consistently. Be patient, get used to it, this is for the long haul.

You don't have to eat anything in particular or cut out anything, but you must stick to your calorie goal to lose weight. If you find soda and fast food taking up too many calories for too little satiety, then it's smart to cut down. If you cook, you will have better control over your intake; you can improve nutrition and make just the amounts you need. Eating well can improve your quality of sleep, which in turn can regulate your appetite (in the direction of better food and more appropriate portions). Losing weight might improve your mobility, too.
