stop drinking water and gained 3lbs

Hi
so my diet hasn't changed apart from not drinking water maybe 1 cup instead of 8
could this be why i have gained 3lbs in a week

    Yes, you'll retain a lot of salt which in turn retains a lot of water. 1 glass of water is not generally any good for you. If you're thirsty - drink.
  • thats right .. you are retaining water because of excess salt.... happends with me sometime... rather alot of times when my intake of water reduces

    Drink at least 2 liters of water a day. It's very beneficial. If I don't drink at least this amount daily, my face puffs up like crazy due to salt intake lol.

    Drink when thirsty that is enough.

    3 lbs is within normal fluctuation so ignore that, it means nothing at all.

    I weigh 4 more pounds at night than I do in the morning. Sounds normal.

    If you also had high sodium, you might be retaining fluid. I "gained" 2lbs overnight because I had a really high sodium day, but it was all gone 48 hours later.
