Hi,

I was googling a lot of stuff last night and today. I kept getting results from this forum. I've noticed that it is a really friendly place. I just decided to join :D

My name is Sarah, I'm 22. I don't really workout, I spend most of my days in class or in front of my pc. My belly started getting big so I thought I really should start working out.

My friends tell me I'm fine and don't need to workout. I don't know why they keep saying that. Even if I was fit (which I'm not) I still need to have an active and healthy lifestyle, right?! ;)

I weigh around 51.7 - 50.5 kg (my stupid digital scale keeps giving me different values in the morning & at night)

My goal is to get back in the 40's range. I don't really care about my weight, I just want a flat stomach :'(

That's it about me :D

It'd be nice to get new friends who care about living a healthy life!

    Hey there,
feel free to add me too, I have found using this site has made a huge difference to how and what I eat and also made me do more activity, I now cycle, kickbox and go to Zumba at least once a week each!

My stomach bothered me too and that seems to have gone now, I'd like to lose another half stone to be very happy with myself but the half stone already gone has made such a difference as I am tall by quite slender anyway and looked like I had a real air belly!!

Feel free to add me, my diary is open too, so you can see what I eat, etc, etc.

    Good Luck :) xx
  • Hello, Thanks!
Yeah I think that's how it spelled :)

    What's your name Sonj1973?
  • Hi suzmedder,
The site looks great. I didn't expect it to have soo many good stuff!! I loved the different logs.

I'll check out your diary now.

    Thanks :D

    Hi Sarah,

How tall are you? 50-55kg is really light. My daughter is 16 years old, 5'9" tall and about 65kg. She looks fantastic (I'm jealous!) but she's trying to put weight on as she's too light! She's also ultra fit as she competes in sport at an international level.

If you don't mind an old flabby 50+ yr old offering a bit of advice, don't try to lose any weight - I don't think you'll need to. If you're worried about your tum getting a bit bigger then do some working out to firm up the tummy muscles. I'm sure that you'll look great then.

Also, tracking your food on here will help you to manage your macros so that you can make sure that your diet contains all the macro-nutrients you need to stay healthy.

    Good luck!

    MFP gets everywhere, hello there
  • Hi LaserMom, bless you got an athlete there. I'm just a lazy engineer lol. I'm 156 cm tall (about 5'1").

I think you're right about working out. It's just that I get tired quickly after doing tummy/abs exercises for a couple minutes. I should try and work on that xD

    Hello Ed, yes it is!!
  • Welcome aboard Sarah! :)
  • Welcome Sarah! I'll be a newbie with you. Friendly place so far though ^-^
