I am looking to lose 55-60. I started 3 weeks ago. I am determined to make it happen as I finally realized by choosing to not actively work to lose weight I am choosing to be obese. I think things are clicking for me this time.
- I am logging everything every day. Not logging doesn't mean it didn't happen and gives me incorrect data if I need to look back and see what went right/wrong.
- I am trying very hard to be patient. I always want to rush the weight loss, get burned out, and go back to my old ways. I am focusing on making each day a step toward my goal and hoping one day I will be able to look back and be amazed at what I accomplished.
- I am looking at each week and scheduling my exercise (home/gym/hikes whatever it is I schedule it and try to beat it). No more "I will TRY to exercise". It never worked for me.
- When I feel too tired to exercise I tell myself that I will have more energy after I am active. And I always do.
- I have an eating plan but give myself some breathing room on occasion. I don't want to give myself the freedom to eat whatever during social times but I am acknowledging that I need to enjoy life while doing this (never guaranteed tomorrow) and so I make the best choices I can and then enjoy myself.
I have failed a number of times before and instead of repeating same mistakes and failing again I am trying to learn from them. This is going to be my new lifestyle. It has to be something I can live with.
So.... my advice (if you want it) is to come up with a plan, be patient and remember to enjoy life while you are doing this. Best of luck to you. Friend me if you want to help each other out.5 -

I need and want to lose 60lbs. Had severe leg break accident 1 1/2 years ago and am now determined to do this. Amazing what I took for granted when I was able to exercise and then could not since I was not able to walk for months and months! Now that most of my pain is gone I need to do this. I also figure that my pain is from the excess weight I gained while recovering! Lol! Has to go now.
