Hi guys. I'm David aka MojosaMan. (That's pronounced moy-OH-sa man). About five years ago I started losing weight. When I started, I was over 300 lbs and a size 52 waistline. For over a year, I was pretty successful shedding the pounds. Then I was logging on to a site called about.com, which is now I think defunct.
I got down to a size 44. Then my mother died and I lost all motivation. I was comfort eating and gained much of it back. Kind of got into the mindset that I'll never be at a normal body weight so why bother.
Then around Christmas when my kid brother came over to my place with all the homemade candies all over the place and he asked what happened? I was doing so well. When I told him I have up when Mom died he said Mom died early because of her weight and I'm following in her footsteps.
That was the wake up call I needed. New year's resolution was to get back at it. I had a stand alone app called My Hey Diary. I set a limit of 1900 cals for three days, 1800 cals for four and one cheat day a month of 2200.
So now I'm the lightest I've been since high school. I'm down to a kinda snug 42 inch waistline and I've hacked of 4 inches from my comfort click belt.
I miss the community support. So I'm looking for friends. I'm making my diary open to everyone, and comments are encouraged.
My goal is to be at 175 by my 47th birthday on March 14, 201. I know from previous experience that the rapid weight loss is about at an end. Then it's plateaus and moderate reductions.
