Life got in the way

I don't even know where to start.
I joined MyFitnessPal in 2010 and was able to achieve my goal weight (from 165 to 145) and maintain it for several years. Since 2014 on, my life has been pure chaos. From my mom being diagnosed with colorectal cancer to finding out my husband was having an affair and then going through a separation an subsequently, a divorce.
The amount of stress has taken a toll on me, and unlike most people, stress makes me gain weight. Even though my eating habits have not changed much, I have stopped working out and this has translated to me being the biggest I have ever been in my entire life (except when I was pregnant).
I have now been hoovering between 178 and 185 lbs for the past year (for reference, I was 200 lbs when I gave birth). Now that the ink is dry on my divorce papers, it's really time for me to get motivated and get back on track. I don't believe in diets, never have. Everything in moderation. I just don't have motivation for exercise like I used and I know that is what my body responds to more than my food intake.
I really need support from MyFitnessPal family. I'm ready to do my part. Some words of encouragement can't hurt though.

You sound motivated to me! Why not start out with some walks or bike rides or swims, whatever you enjoy. You don't have to start out hard core.0
