I bought a one serving packet of this protein powder a while ago and finally tried it today and I'm surprised at how much I like it and the nutrition on it is fantastic. It's by Lifetime and it's called Life's Basics Plant Protein (a combination of pea, hemp, rice and chia seed). I tried the vanilla flavor with some unsweetened vanilla almond breeze and it was pretty thick, but very tasty. I love that it's vegan and gluten free too.

One serving is 129 calories, 1 g fat, 5 g carbs, 2 g fiber, 2.67g sugar and 22g protein!

By the way, chia seed is my new favorite health food. I'm adding it to my oat bran in the mornings instead of flax seed. I've been doing a lot of reading on it and it just sounds like an amazing food. It's got more of the good omega 3's in it (and ALA) than flax and it supposedly expands in your stomach a lot more than flax so it gives you that fuller feeling.

Anyway, back to the protein powder. I'm sure it's not cheap for a month's supply container, but for those of you who struggle to find a good high quality, great tasting protein powder, sometimes it's worth it!

Just thought I'd share!

I got mine at a local health food store. I didn't see it at whole foods today. I'm sure you can find it online though too.
