I'm coming out of a very sedentary lifestyle 10-12 hour days at the computer coupled with over drinking and overeating. Since last year, I lost 20% of my body weight through regular walking/running, no drinking, and mostly cutting out the sweets.

Now I'm working on the holdout belly fat, i think another 15 or so pounds.

I'm also trying to manage my weight loss and fitness more carefully (for my health) by paying attention to the mix of nutrients. Last year I suffered a bit from malnutrition (days off cramps, fainting).

So now I'm using MFP to make sure I don't eat too much AND to make sure I eat enough to maintain and grow muscle while losing fat.

I'm currently using 40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat as my targets, and considering upping the protein percentage.

Also got a fitness tracker and trying to increase my activity as much as possible.

Best wishes to everyone. I've had good success and still remain highly motivated and would like to share my enthusiasm. If anyone wants to add me as a friend, I'd like to share foods/recipes and encouragement.
