New to this and tips welcome

I have just signed up to myfitnesspal (5 minutes ago). I turn 30 on boxing day and just started my new job so I want to take control of my life! I have stopped playing football/soccer and now with no actual exercise in my life I am looking to get back into the gym. I am looking for tips and advice on this too if people would be nice to help out! Looking to get in best shape I can and be more confident to take my top off when its sunny! Im looking to loose weight but also looking to tone up. Like I said take control again. Also not a runner so best way for CV training too will be much appreciated!
