One of my favorite quick breakfasts is rice cakes with almond butter and bananas.
My question is, how bad are rice cakes really for you?

They have a very high glycemic index and really not much nutritional value - but they are low cal and I'm sure like anything they don't do much harm in moderation.
I think they taste like polystyrene, personally :laugh:

I think the thing with rice cakes is that they are more low in calories than high in nutrition. I don't know if they're good or bad, but they give you that crunch satisfaction instead of going for chips or fried stuff. Personally, I'd take the chips anyways because I think rice cakes taste like packing peanuts, but I don't think they seem too terrible. Just not very good either.0
