Cheap GPS watch that displays average/split pace (UK)

Hi all,

Do any of you know of a cheap GPS watch or brand that will display my pace averaged over the entire run, or the previous X distance? I want to use it as a stand alone training tool and to help me with pace setting in races, it doesn't need to track steps/calories/routes/connect to my phone etc etc. I cannot wear a watch or anything on my wrists at work, and I am quite happy with my clip-on Fitbit Zip to track my daily activity so this would only be used when I'm running. I live in the UK if that impacts your suggestions at all.

Most of the affordable ones online offer only current speed rather than average/split pace, and the expensive ones are SUPER pricey and have lots of features (heartrate, bluetooth, saves all of your routes ever completed, makes you get up and move every hour, displays your texts, answers your calls) that I don't require.

Thanks!

I have a Garmin 225 which does that. Not sure how much they cost these days, I bought mine in 2015 when it was new out.

Try the Garmin 25. It's their least expensive watch and is good for basics. It has about a 7 hour battery when in GPS mode, so is fine for marathon distance. It does have some of the extras you mentioned, like a step counter, but you don't have to use that screen. It has the option of split pace or current pace. I use the split pace since the 'current pace' varies too much to be usable except when doing sprints.
