I'm just starting my getting healthy adventure and I'm looking into beginner HiiT exercises. Ones geared more toward cardio vs strength are preferred. I need all the help I can get. I'm the heaviest I've ever been in my life and it's affecting me.. My job, my boyfriend, my hobbies. I don't do what I used to.. I need help.

If you are just beginning exercising I wouldn't do HiiT. The videos above seem just fine for starters. Low impact and moves you can modify will keep you engaged to the finish.

If you're new to exercise, you might want to start with regular interval training. Maybe something like Couch to 5k?

HIIT is not a beginners protocol if it is true HIIT(despite all the marketing woo). There is risk of injury and other issues. You need a base of fitness for HIIT. Interval training is a good interim step. Start slow and build.
  • Just recently started the BodyBoss Method and really like it. I've had to modify some moves, but they have 4 weeks of "pre-training" that gradually introduce you to HiiT and work on your conditioning before beginning the true 6 week workout regimen. Downside is that it cost about $40 and sometimes it's hard to keep myself accountable. I joined their fb group to help with motivation.
