I started the military diet 3 days ago... it's all about eating as per menu for 3 days every week !
So far so good,
Does anyone have anything to share about this kind of diet ?

It's a fad diet where you lose a lot of water weight. Which is then usually gained back.3

does it even do that? It's just calorie restriction, but with a silly plan. Is there anything about it that would cause water loss in excess of any other calorie restricted diet?
Still no idea why it's called the "military" diet. It doesn't remotely resemble the diet of anyone actually in the military.3 -
I am not doing it and glad I'm not.1

That is not for me. I am working on adjusting my eating and my activity levels so that I am successful not only in losing weight but in having a healthy long term way of living so I stay at a healthy weight. It has to be something I can incorporate into my life long term. I have tried different "diets" in the past and while I may have (but not always) had success it never lasted. I wish you success but encourage you to read success story posts on MFP and how they lost weight by counting their calories they consumed and the calories they burned and transformed their lives.0

In a nutshell.
OP - this fad diet has been around for decades. It has had many different names. They just keep re-cycling it.
It's supposedly weird food combinations that help you lose an unrealistic number of pounds in a week. Pure fantasy. It's the very low calories that result in weight loss. You can actually eat food you like in a sane and healthy manner.3 -

Sounds like every other silly "diet." I'm having great success eating what I want, when I want, in a deficit.0
