I'm a big fan of my rice cooker, air fryer, and ninja blender. I like making lentils and rice in my rice cooker. I'll make a tortilla "bowl" in my air fryer because it is just the right size, and put salad in it. I use my ninja blender for smoothies and banana "ice cream" and it's a lot easier to clean than a regular blender.1

I've using the rice cooker that I've owned for almost 40 yrs.
Cooks rice perfectly each time w/o looking at it, as long as you put the rt amout of water in it. I never mesure the water; just use the water over the knuckles method which works 4 me
I can cook rice on the stovetop; ,learned how to do that over 60 yr ago. Not hard but you have to pay attn to it and, if you don't, it will burn. Some like the hard chewy rice you get when you cook it on the stovetop but I don't.
So, for me, a rice cooker is best.
You can also use it for steaming and reheating stuff but I use use mine for cooking rice0
