Are you sure you know what to do, and can you really do it? Maybe you are trying to do more than you need to do. Many people fall into that trap. I know I did. I see people every day here in the forum, in other forums, in stories in the media, all over the world, do it. Doing lots of needless things when we need to do something important and slightly difficult, is stressful, and makes doing what we have to do, very difficult - hence, needing "motivation". A healthy diet and exercise routine can and should be adapted to personal needs and preferences, and therefore be pretty easy to stick to.

You can't, and you don't have to, kick start your weightloss - you lose weight when you consistently eat less than you burn, and the initial fat loss almost always comes with some additional water weight.

Just set up MFP with your stats and a weekly weight loss goal of 1% of your bodyweight. Log your food intake in your diary, and hit the calorie goal MFP gave you. That's really all you have to do. Sounds simple? It is. But it's not necessarily easy, because you have to do it correctly and consistently, and for a long, long time. That is why you should find a way of eating and moving that you like. If not, you will soon be looking for "motivation", again.
