Morning
Last night was my first time at gym. I worked pretty hard as a trainer got his hands on me. I didn't drink more than two glasses of water and a tea between 7pm and 10pm then bed.
My question is , why did I wake so frequently to go wee. I even was dreaming I was in a taxi and had to keep weeing! Also how does building muscle affect weight on scale? I assumed after all that wee that this morning is be lighter but no such luck. Thanks

If you're eating at a deficit and not doing a serious progressive lifting program you're not going to build a bunch of muscle. You'll likely get some water retention from the new exercise. Also weight loss isn't instant. You're not going to lose a ton of weight from one visit with the trainer. You'll want to learn to have some patience if you want to be at all successful.

If you truly add muscle mass, you will weigh more. My understanding is that when you eat at a calorie surplus to build muscle, you will also gain some fat. I'm not sure of exact proportion, but if you gain 5 lb muscle and 3 lb fat, you would weigh 8 lbs more. This is why some people do bulk and cut cycles.
Gaining muscle is completely different from gaining strength, which in and of itself does not cause weight gain, and is different from recomp which is a slow but effective process in maintenance. You also mention wanting the scale to be less, so are you trying to gain, maintain, or lose?1 -
Not sure why you peed more, but drinking 2 glasses after 7 pm would do that for me. Let us know if it continues to happen.
Increasing exercise often causes an initial increase in weight, due to fluid retention in your muscles. This is discussed often in the Diet forum.
Also, strength training increases your glycogen (energy) storage in your muscles, and glycogen is tied up with a lot of water.0 -
