Try this if you have access to a pc:
Record using the web browser on your phone. Safari or whatever. Email the recording to yourself and upload from a pc1 -

I already had a Soundcloud account and found it pretty easy to record via the voice recorder on my phone then just upload it using the Soundcloud app1 -
I think imgur does sound now too2

I had the same issue, I just click upload and it let me record then automatically uploaded after I gave it permission to feel up my skirt2 -
