Non Scale Disappointment

I haven't seen my 'across the street' neighbors in over 2 months. Since that time, I lost 16.4 pounds. The guy says, "Wow! You lost weight. You look like a new person." The woman says, "Yeah, but she still has a big stomach." Needless to say, I felt awful. I still have 16 more pounds until my goal weight.

It had nothing to do with you. She put you down because her husband noticed you weight loss and commented on how you looked. She was jealous, simple as that. Hold your head high and just move on. Don't let her insecurities derail you. Congratulations on your loss so far, and good luck to you in the future!

Yeah I got that.. I mean it's weird to say that out loud, vs like, muttered while walking away. It honestly sounds like she didn't like her partner complimenting you. Weakness of her character.

Thank you all for your support. You have lifted me from my gloomies. While I intended to carry on my weight loss journey, it was nonetheless disturbing to hear a negative comment. I truly appreciate your support. It means a lot (especially since my stomach is still really big). Thanks everyone.
