I don't know about heavy hitting but done a 3-5 times a week this is having results for me:
45 second plank / 15 second rest x5
90 seconds crunch and medicine ball throw (my gym has a contraption that returns the ball to you)
3 x 15 bicycles
90 seconds crunch and ball throw
3 x 10 reverse crunches
90 seconds crunch and ball throw
3 x 20 regular crunches
3 x 10 upright leg lifts on rack
3 x 10 russian twist
Takes about 20 mins.1 -
Front squats
Romanian deadlifts
Pull ups
Dips3 -
i've got my own little personal uneven-weight suitcase carry thang going on with the kettlebell set where i lift.
it's about what i feel most like working on at a given time, and for me atm it's all about the obliques and the midline stability thing.0 -
The P90X ab workout itself is actually quite good though you may want to add a few dedicated moves for the core. On the off chance that it's too easy for you, try it with ankle weights.0
