What is your goal? Building up? Trimming down? Something else?

I don't know about heavy hitting but done a 3-5 times a week this is having results for me:

    45 second plank / 15 second rest x5
90 seconds crunch and medicine ball throw (my gym has a contraption that returns the ball to you)
    3 x 15 bicycles
90 seconds crunch and ball throw
    3 x 10 reverse crunches
90 seconds crunch and ball throw
    3 x 20 regular crunches
3 x 10 upright leg lifts on rack
    3 x 10 russian twist

    Takes about 20 mins.

i've got my own little personal uneven-weight suitcase carry thang going on with the kettlebell set where i lift.

it's about what i feel most like working on at a given time, and for me atm it's all about the obliques and the midline stability thing.

The P90X ab workout itself is actually quite good though you may want to add a few dedicated moves for the core. On the off chance that it's too easy for you, try it with ankle weights.
