I have been keeping everything to myself since i started July 30th. Since that time i have list 20lbs, since January 1st I've lost 30 lbs. Not easy just more focused since starting. So today I've lost 30lbs this year but I'm freaking out! I've never lost this much weight or been this focused and I'm worried the weight now will come off much slower and I'll lose focus. Does anyone have any suggestions? I feel I need to jump start or some new idea as how to go forward from here. I still have 50lbs to go, help!!!

    you need to keep doing what you are doing. I wouldn't really change anything if you feel good, and are on your way.
    I certainly changed things up along the journey but not because my weight loss stalled. That was primarily dictated by my caloric intake anyway. Its just at certain times I want to build up more muscle, while at other times I focus on running and cycling because I want to lean down more.
    Dont let fear side track you. You can do this, as you have already shown.

    Celebrate/honor your weight loss! You are doing well.
    Take measurements and lots of photos so you can look at things other than the scale while you are losing.
    Have you bought some new clothes? That helps make things feel more real. :mrgreen:

    Maximum/optimal weight loss rate (in pounds) ALWAYS slows down as you lose weight, it's nothing you can do about THAT. What you CAN do something about, is your attitude (I'm not saying you have a bad attitude, lol) - accept the fact that as you lose weight, your body has less excess fat, and the maximum rate of loss is proportional to that amount - you will be able to lose up to around 1% of your bodyweight per week, pretty steadily (not necessarily in the form of a straight line on the scale, but on average, and over time) - all the way down to normal BMI, where that rate usually lowers. Not being able to lose as fast, is a sign of improved health, of that you are doing it right. You also need to prepare mentally for maintenance, which is a neverending story of vigilance and gratitude and patience, without seeing any change on the scales, apart from the natural day-to-day fluctuations.
