Plateau help needed

I have lost 30 pounds in the last year. I have 10 more to go. I've had steady progress but for the month of September I have only lost 1 pound. Yikes!

I workout in the gym 6 days a week. This includes lifting and cardio time. My cardio workout is getting easy again so I added more incline and a bit more speed the last couple weeks.

I get a minimum of 12k steps each day - haven't missed that goal since March. Often I get 20k+. In September I have 2 days above 30K and a day above 50K.

I hike with my dog 4 days a week. This is in addition to my gym workout. Usually around 4-5 miles since pup is now older. If we don't hit trails we walk town.

Finally, 2-4 days a week I complete a 30 min yoga session before bedtime.

I log my food and have gone over on calories, slightly 3 days this month. Overall I've definitely eaten less than burned.

What's up with the lack of progress? Help!

I went a few months with no loss but stayed the course and am losing again. As of this morning I'm 5lb from goal. Don't give up!

If you've increased exercise, either amount or intensity (and it seems you've done both), you may be retaining water. If you know your logging is on point, stay the course.

So much of what is going on with you is answered in the Helpful Posts at the top of the General Weight Loss forum list.

Bravo on an excellent exercise regime! That, and having only 10 lbs to lose, will easily mask the small weight loss increments because of water weight fluctuations. Best wishes.

You should be aiming to lose 0.5lb per week with only 10 to go.

Having increased your exercise you may well be retsining water.

Definitely slows down as get closer to goal. Any loss is good and 1lb in a month is fine, don't expect the same rate as at start and be happy to be going in the right direction even if slower than you'd like. Its a slow walk not a sprint....
