Looking for some support from other moms. My daughter is 5 months old and breast fed. Mainly looking to eat better but would like to lose some weight without losing my milk supply.

Breastfeeding is consuming calories, you know that?
Eating healthy is important, because what you eat goes in your milk. It's actually recommended not to lose weight, because then the milk is produced from your fat supplies, which are not the healthiest stuff . Or at least not to diet. Focus on eating properly (veggies, healthy fats, lean meat).
This being said, I lost weight when breastfeeding (got below my pre-pregnancy weight, but had not gained more than 25lbs during my pregnancy). I lost simply by putting my baby first - hardly had time to properly sit at the table. I also tried hard not to stuff my face in the evening, when I could finally have the time to eat in peace .
Post breastfeeding things got challenging. I did not adjust my calories right away and the scale moved in the wrong direction.
Oh, I should've started by saying this: lovely daughter, congrats!!!0 -
