That will start giving you a TON of exercise calories if you walk and run a bunch...you'll probably want to feel out what works best for you in terms of deciding how much if any of those you want to eat back to reach your goals.
Then, if you go log your workout in MFP...I think it SHOULD subtract calories from your daily calorie adjustment (which will be a single entry in your exercise log showing how much exercise calories it thinks you have left to eat).
There is a huge Fitbit social community, like MFP. I really like doing the step challenges, and if interested feel free to add me.

Their community seems really huge, though...hundreds of thousands (idk how many active, but it seems like a lot) so I haven't posted too much over there. But you can have friends and post to a friends feed...similar to MFP.
Thank you so much!!!0 -

You have to do something to sync your Fitbit calories with MFP...and it's a little confusing.
These links may help you out getting it setup and synced...there may be better ones out there somewhere:

So after 2 weeks all the crazy amount of calories it says I burn will tone down?
After that, will those calories truly burned transfer to MFP? Or is it steps only?
Tried to send you a message but it wouldn't allow me0 -

Once you get your Fitbit synced with MFP, you'll start seeing an entry in your MFP exercise log called 'Fitbit calorie adjustment'.
MFP and Fitbit communicate and lol...MFP decides how much it believes Fitbit, and then gives you an exercise credit for your activity.
That will then adjust your calorie budget upwards for the day. However, I suggest you really don't eat all those extra calories if you're trying to lose weight.
You'll see that right away once it's synced.
It will show YOU the steps, but afaik your friends can't see your steps. It would be nice if they could...but I just don't think it does that. I could be wrong.
I saw that fitbit adjustment section today & it's at zero. Haven't done too much except try to walk around more as I work.
Ty for all the help & tips. Now I just have to keep waiting for my fitbit to get used to me & not say I'm burning a ton of calories I'm not.0 -

Then you know it's working.
Idk...the adjustment could be zero. I had to do mine, and redo it a couple of times before I finally got it working.
Kind of a pain to learn, but you won't have to mess with it again for a long time once it's going.
Ok I will keep clicking/refreshing things!! One more question: when I work out, should I bother inputting it into MFP since fitbit is tracking? Don't want to throw my calories off.
I really appreciate your help! Can you send me a friend request?0
