loose wrinkled skin after loosing weight

Hello,
Has anyone over 50 had to deal with the loose, wrinkled, crepy looking skin on arms and stomach when loosing weight? I'm 67 and have lost only 7 pounds and dropped my body fat by 5 % but I am seeing loose and wrinkled skin on my abs and upper arms and inner thighs. So discouraging.
I lift 5 times a week and do cardio only 2 or 3 times a week. My trainer has me on a cut currently but I think I should be trying to gain muscle. Anyone else experience this and what if anything have you done about it.

I'm 64 and also lift ( AllPro).
I am, and have been for 7+ years, at my maintenance of 100-105 lbs ( quite petite) and if I am dehydrated I get the stringy look.
In part it is natural and due to aging. Collagen and elastin production is a little lower.
Getting around 1g protein per lbs of lbm (helps with muscles as well as collagen and elastin production) and staying well hydrated may help.
Don't know your weight, but you may, if you are within a normal BMI, do better doing a 3x a week lifting programme, 2-3 days cardio, and eating at maintenance.

I've found that my true loose skin - the thin wrinkles, not bigger folds - has continued to shrink as I maintain weight at as lower level, even into my second year of maintenance. I lost 50+ pounds at age 59-60, and will now be 62 next month.
+1 to @middlehaitch 's comments, too.2 -
@AnnPT77, being the young chick that you are, I don't know if this has happened to you yet but, if my muscles are flat, and I am dehydrated, my upper arms are striated when I lean forward.
This has only started happening this year and after years of maintenance- but for various reasons my workouts have been lacking in gusto the past few months. We will see if getting those muscles pumped again will make a difference this fall.
Prior, yes I could pinch and lift bits of skin, but it stayed in place otherwise.
Cheers, h
Ps. I had a really good PubMed paper on the subject a couple of years ago, but of course can't find it when I need it- story of my life. h0 -

I am 67 and have been lifting for about 15 years. I have always maintained my weight at around 107 but started with a new trainer. I was at a high of 109 so she has put me on a cut. Low carb high protein diet. I have lost 7 pounds and dropped my bf by 5%. I am now 101.5 pounds. I am 5 ft. tall with a small frame. I had somewhat wrinkled crepy skin on my upper arms and inner thighs before at the higher weight but it is much worse now and I also have it on my stomach due to loosing fat on my belly. I do find if I drink more water and use moisture cream I look better by the end of the day but by next morning am wrinkled again. I would like to add more muscle but it seems like when I eat more and continue to lift it just all goes right to my belly and waist! So frustrating.0
