Lowest weight in 2 years!

I had to share with someone besides my husband the fact that I managed to lose all the weight I gained over the last two years.
Between summer of 2015 and this last April, I packed on 17 lbs, and I may have gained more than that since I never looked at a scale. The only reason I even know that I gained that much is because of doctor visits. Seeing my peak weight, and feeling its effects gave me motivation to take control.
Initially, I didn't go about it very well. I made up a rough meal plan for breakfasts and lunches during the week, but had no accountability for dinners, weekends, or snacks. I made a point to accept invitations for activity (mostly hikes), but didn't make a point of being active.
In August, work started a fitness challenge, and I found that my lazy plan had only chipped off 5 lbs from my peak documented weight. And I was still having weight-related issues. So, I decided it was time to hold myself accountable. I started doing weekly weigh-ins, taking walks on my lunch and sometimes after work, doing exercises (wall pushups, chair squats, yoga, etc.) in my office as I can, drinking more water. I also signed up for MFP to hold myself accountable for ALL meals and snacks.
In the last month, I have managed to drop another 11 lbs! I am seeing improvements to my hormone balances, flexibility, stamina, and of course physical appearance.
I'm still a bit heavier than the weight I remember maintaining for years (undocumented, of course), so that's my next milestone. That weight is still heavier than my top pregnancy weight, so there will still be more to go from there, but at least now I'm seeing the effects, documenting it, and gaining more confidence in my control over myself.
